Off Campus P.E. (OCPE) at Huszka Weightlifting Club
Huszka Weightlifting Club is an approved Off Campus P.E. (OCPE) provider for both Leander ISD and Round Rock ISD. OCPE is an option in a school district to award high school credits and/or middle school credits for physical education for appropriate private or commercially-sponsored physical activity agencies as an alternative to in-school P.E. Agencies must meet exceptional quality standards to be considered for approval.
There are typically 2 levels of participation in the program which the club supports:
Level 1: The highest level of participation requires competition at a National level and 15 hours per week of training (to accommodate this time commitment, there is typically an off-period granted). Note that Huszka Weightlifting club trains multiple Nationally competitive youth athletes.
Level 2: The alternative level of participation requires 5 hours per week of training in order to receive credits and does not provide for an off-period, in other words, students participate after-school.
Applications for OCPE credit and participation in the upcoming school year are due as soon as May 1st. Please see the links below for more specific information. We can assist in guiding you through the process.
The student application should be completed each year with all required signatures and documentation and turned in via OCPE Form by May 30, 2025 at 4 p.m. Incomplete applications will be denied and returned to the parent. No late applications will be accepted. Please note that the form must be completed while the student is logged in on the Leander ISD google account. Student Application
